[October 31] For Aggie

The party had seemed like a decent idea at first. Something light and fun, hopefully in an open space that Ahn could check out and decide whether to stay or not. Aggie agreeing to go along had made the decision to at least stop by easy, though finding the actual party is anything but.

Ahn stares at the maze entrance, watching other costumed people walk in without care. Make your way through a maze to get to the party? After what happened last year? It gives Ahn chills, and he shakes them off, causing the wings on his sweatshirt to bob.

At least he has the excuse of waiting for Aggie, to make it easier to find each other before heading in. The light up headband will help, and he sends her a selca that ends up looking pretty nice, showcasing all the glory of the $10 find. Once he's done sending the picture, Ahn looks back at the maze entrance and grimaces.

Maybe he can just convince Aggie to go trick-or-treating on a few of the more decorated Darrow streets instead.

Aggie has a good laugh when she sees Ahn's barely-there costume. Cute, she texts him, bemused at how much she means it. Not that she can really tease him for a lack of effort when her costume this year is spooky makeup and her hair in elaborate braids that keep an old pair of Krampus horns on her head.

The headband makes him easy to spot, though.

"Boo," she says to him, completely deadpan. Once she has his attention, Aggie smiles properly. "Nice outfit."

"Yah, Aggie, wow," Ahn says as he turns to her, eyes widening at the horns on her head. He turns again so she can see the very cute tiny wings on the back of his sweatshirt too. "Are you a demon too? We match!"

"Depending on who you ask, I'm kind of a demon all year round," she replies, not remotely troubled by the accusation. "But these are from Christmas a few years ago. One of my guardians taught me how to braid my hair so they're secure. I'd say you should feel for yourself but..." She's not worried about Ahn seeing her past if he touches her but she knows it can't be a pleasant experience, not with his ability.

With a gloved hand, she reaches up and flicks one of his tiny wings. "Super cute. Very demonic."
