This post will serve as a space for any explanations of memories/trauma that Ahn might see if he ends up touching someone. I'll have a brief explanation of what his powers do, and then a couple of questions for you to answer.
Objects:
Not all objects give off readings, and for the most part it only happens if someone has heavily imprinted on a specific object for some reason. These could range from something your character touches every day, something that is incredibly important to your character that they might not touch every day, or something random and innocuous that they're touching when something happens enough to imprint on it. Examples of things Ahn has seen when touching objects: a girl planting evidence on someone else, a guy picking his nose, his own memories of his childhood, a young child's last happy memory of her father, his love interest holding a doorknob and leaving a message imprinted on it for him to hopefully see (he does), etc etc.
People:
People are a more specific. Canon offers an explanation that boils down to: Ahn really only sees the most traumatic, painful, emotional moments in a person's life. If your character died, he might see the moments up to their death. If they were hurt, he might see that. He might see flashes of a lifetime of traumatic abuse, or memories of someone they loved who passed and that left a deep emotional scar. Both of these options are open to interpretation. Canon is a bit loose with what Ahn sees and how he sees it, and I'm willing to work with whatever to make something happen.
Effect on Ahn:
Over time, the more Ahn reads something/someone, or the more traumatic/painful the memory he see is, the more it can affect him physically. He's gone faint from reading someone, he's felt phantom pain, he's even read/experienced so much in such a short period of time that he eventually succumbs to something similar to a heart attack.
Questions for you:
If you fill this out I'm taking it as permission for Ahn to eventually see whatever memories you share here. However, I will always talk to you about him using his psychometry - whether on purpose or by accident - before I have him touch your character. Mostly because this usually leads to a dramatic change in the way he talks and acts, and so I don't have it come at you out of the blue. You can share as many memories as you'd like; canon clips or excerpts would be great.
1. What is the memory/trauma/experience?
2. How intense is this memory? ie. Is it an old and faded memory, or is it recent and sharp? Is it obviously an old memory but still fresh?
3. What type of pain is involved, if any? (Especially important with deaths/injuries/etc.)
4. Any other details? Maybe their age, what kind of state they were in, if anyone important was around, etc.
5. How would your character react to Ahn knowing any of these details? (Depending on how intense the memory is, he might blurt out details, ask how they are, ask how they could go through it, etc.)
6. Do you have any canon excerpts/videos/etc?
I know that's a lot, but any bit helps! You could even say that Ahn would only see a HINT of a memory as well, if you don't want to give too much info. Again, canon is kind of wishy washy about the hows and the whys and the whats so I'm willing to work with whatever!
